Using a Mail Box Mail Alert in a Curbside Brick Enclosure

Question about the Product: Mail Box Mail Alert with Chime Model 1200 ,

Q: "What about use with a mailbox mounted in curbside bricks as is common in suburbs?"

Answer: We checked with Robert Hanna, the manufacturer. This is his response: "We have never had anyone tell us that the Model 1200 failed to work with mailboxes mounted inside a brick surrounding. It really is no difference between using the Mail Alert in this mounting and mounting it on the outside of a brick wall of a home."

Thanks for your question. We hope it helps others, too.

Sincerely, Barbara

Operational Distance for a Mailbox Chime?

Q: "Hello! I wish we were only 300 feet away from our mailbox! Do you know of any Mailbox chime versions that are good for 700 feet away? Thanks. Sue."

Answer: Unfortunately, the FCC limits the strength of the transmitter used in this product, thus the distance limit of 300 feet maximum.
